Events are the cornerstone of Museums Council of New York City membership and participation. The opportunity to learn from colleagues, get a behind-the-scenes look at member institutions' exhibitions and collections, and network with each other is a benefit for all member institution staff.
Join us at the New York Botanical Garden for our Spring event! Tuesday, May 21, 11:00 AM-2:00 PM We hope you can join the Museums Council of New York for a special spring event at the New York Botanical Garden! We’re switching it up this time. It’s a daytime event that starts at 11am. We’ll start with a guided tour of the much anticipated Wonderland: Curious Natureexhibit, which features the work of artists and designers who have transformed the garden into Lewis Carroll’s Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland. Thoroughly enchanted, we’ll then relax and enjoy a lunch in NYBG’s famed Stone Mill. a NYC landmark built in 1840. Chat and network with fellow members from museums across the city. Afterwards, join us for a very special(optional) tourof unique Wonderland treasures in the LuEsther T. Mertz Library, given by MCNYC board member and director of the Library, Rhonda Evans.
Meet-ups are open to all staff and interns of members' institutions. See the member list here. Register to the May 21, 2024 event on Eventbrite.
